How to make Grand Marnier Cranberry Sauce with Pineapple

Thanksgiving can be a daunting day for anyone that doesn’t feel comfortable in the kitchen. If you fall into the category and still need to bring a dish to pass, you should bring wine… but if you can’t bring wine you should make this cranberry sauce because it is as easy as it gets.

First you will gather all the ingredients and a large sauce pan. Turn the a stove burner to medium heat and add the: white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange juice. Mix these ingredients together until all the sugars are dissolved.

Then you will add the cranberries, raspberries, and crushed pineapples. All that’s left now is to stir. Keep stirring for about 25 minutes, or until the sauce starts to thicken. Then turn off the heat an mix in the Grand Marnier.

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 Cup Orange Juice
  • 2 Cups Crushed Pineapple (with Juice)
  • 12 oz Fresh Cranberries (Chopped)
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Raspberries (Chopped)
  • 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 3-4 Tbsp Grand Marnier

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, add the Sugars, Cinnamon, and Orange Juice and stir until the sugars are dissolved. (about 5 min)
  • Add the Cranberries, Raspberries, and Pineapple. Stir frequently until the sauce thickens, about 25 min. Remove from heat and stir in the Gran Marnier.

Notes

If you have the time, let the sauce rest in the refrigerator over night to let all the flavors distribute evenly.
